How to transfer from Terminal 1 to Terminal 3 at Fiumicino Airport, Rome?

If you, like me, arrived at Rome's Fiumicino Airport for a connecting flight, then most likely during this transfer you need to change terminals. In my case, it was a journey with Wizz Air from the Romanian town of Suceava to Lisbon with a plane change in Rome.

The arrival was at Terminal 1, and the departure was from Terminal 3. So the question arose, where is this Terminal 3 and do I need to exit the airport to get to it? I will say right away, you do not need to!
Terminals 1 and 3 of Fiumicino Airport are connected within the same building. Therefore, arriving at Terminal 1, you do not need to go to the exit or to the baggage claim area (provided that you flew without checked baggage, only with carry-on luggage). You do not need to leave the airport, but turn left, where you will see the Transit board and an escalator that will take you up to the next floor. This way you will get to Terminal 3.
Since in my experience there are no identifying signs and boards in this terminal indicating that it is indeed Terminal 3, one can get confused and continue searching for it :) This happened with the travelers who flew with me on the same flight from Suceava to Rome and had a transfer, as it turned out, also to Lisbon. Already being in Terminal 3, they decided to continue searching for it and used one of the exits from the transit area. After that, of course, they had to go through passport and baggage control again to get back to the place they had exited from.
I used the internet, found the official website of Fiumicino Airport, specifically its map https://www.adr.it/web/aeroporti-di-roma-en/pax-fco-airport-map and made sure that I was where I was supposed to be.

I also found a convenient bot on the website where you can enter your flight and subscribe to updates about it. All changes and information about your flight come to you in the messenger, including from which gate you are departing and at what time boarding starts and ends. Quite convenient, so I will leave the link https://www.facebook.com/share/1BEJW1thW7/
It is worth noting that if you have a fairly short connecting time at Fiumicino, do not worry. The transition from Terminal 1 to Terminal 3 (and vice versa) and the journey to any gate will take no more than 30 minutes at a calm pace and accounting for any delays. But again, this is provided that you are flying without checked baggage and do not need to collect it and then check it in again for the next flight. So my experience is valid for those who do not exit the transit area.
