The official website of the anime film Cosmic Princess Kaguya! has published the main trailer for the special version of the film, which is being prepared for re-screenings. The list of formats includes MX4D, 4DX, SCREENX, ULTRA 4DX, and Dolby Atmos, as well as the standard format.

Screenings will start on September 18 in 247 theaters across Japan. Before that, three types of Muviticket Card tickets will go on sale — they will start being sold in Japanese theaters from August 7.

Each of the tickets will feature Kaguya, Iroha Sakayori, or Yachiyo Tsukimi in Japanese-style outfits called "Fanatic Omatsuri Girl." As a bonus, buyers will receive a transparent poster with a solo visual of the character depicted on the ticket. The online pre-order version will additionally include a digital Muviticket card with group art.

Cosmic Princess Kaguya! was released on Netflix worldwide on January 22, 2026. After a warm reaction to the film's release, it was also launched in Japanese theaters on February 20, and due to its popularity, the limited screening was extended. The film stayed in the top 10 of the Japanese box office for 11 consecutive weeks and concluded its four-month run on June 18 with a box office of over 2.7 billion yen.

The film was directed by Shingo Yamashita, known for the openings to JUJUTSU KAISEN and Chainsaw Man. The film was created by Studio Colorido and Studio Chromato.
