STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT finally has a release date — the launch in Japan is scheduled for August 20, just a few months away.
Along with the announcement, MAGES. published a new opening movie on their YouTube channel. The video features the original theme Skyclad Observer performed by Kanako Ito.
What is known about STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT
STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT is a reimagining of the visual novel STEINS;GATE, which first released in Japan on Xbox 360 on October 15, 2009. The game was later re-released on other platforms and also received an updated anime version STEINS;GATE ELITE, which used fragments from the anime adaptations.
The new version promises completely updated and expanded graphics, as well as a more concise storyline based on the ELITE script. Additionally, new world lines — alternative branches of the plot — and new ending scenarios have been added to the game.
STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT will be released in Japan on August 20 for PlayStation 4 and 5, Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam. The Japanese version will also feature English subtitles.
