The 29th anime film of the Detective Conan franchise — Fallen Angel of the Highway — continues to perform strongly at the Japanese box office. In its fourth weekend, from May 1 to May 3, the film earned 932 million yen (5.94 million dollars) on 649 thousand tickets and dropped one position, taking third place.
The official website of the film reported that in 27 days, by May 6 — the last day of Golden Week in Japan — the title gathered over 7.4 million viewers and more than 10.88 billion yen (69.35 million dollars).
The fourth consecutive hit of Detective Conan at 10 billion yen
For the series, this is already the fourth consecutive film that has crossed the 10 billion yen mark at the box office. Previously, Black Iron Submarine (2023), The Million-dollar Pentagram (2024), and One-eyed Flashback (2025) also achieved this milestone.
Moreover, this is the first case in the history of Japanese cinema where the same franchise has grossed over 10 billion yen for four consecutive years. Fallen Angel of the Highway also became the fourth highest-grossing film in the series, surpassing the 25th film The Bride of Halloween (2022).

The live-action adaptation of Yuto Suzuki's manga Sakamoto Days launched in 363 theaters on April 29 and earned 478 million yen in its opening weekend on 346 thousand tickets, taking fourth place. In the first eight days, including Golden Week, its box office reached 1.5 billion yen on 1.14 million views.
The film Agito: Chonoryoku Senso, dedicated to the 55th anniversary of the Kamen Rider franchise, debuted in fifth place, gathering 110 million yen in its opening weekend. In eight days, its total exceeded 300 million yen on 220 thousand tickets.
Cosmic Princess Kaguya! dropped to sixth place in its 11th weekend, Sound! Euphonium, The Final Movie Part 1 — to eighth place in its second weekend, and Doraemon: Nobita and the New Castle of the Undersea Devil — to tenth place in its tenth weekend.
Meanwhile, Milky☆Subway: The Galactic Limited Express: Local Train to the Theater has gathered 550 million yen from 410 thousand viewers since its release on February 6. From June 12, versions for MX4D and 4DX will show the Extra Train variant with new scenes.
