There is a Konner Sohnen KS 5200 PS charging station. The house has grounding. When connecting, Baxi Luna shows error E317.
Let's read the instructions:
317 - Incorrect power supply frequency.
Let's read further.
Baxi - wants 50Hz
KS 5200 PS - provides 50Hz
Google finds no information. AI says that the station does not output pure 50Hz, and the boiler is very sensitive. It recommends installing a stabilizer that will equalize the frequency, sine wave, etc. Such stabilizers are not cheap and take up quite a bit of space.
I have some distrust of AI. So before spending money - a bit more information search.
I find information that the boiler does not ignite if there is no real neutral. This is not related to error E317. But it is worth looking at my distribution board.
I have a two-pole AVR that switches between City (A) and Charging Station (B). When the city is connected - the station charges (after the AVR). Here I saw that I had assembled a completely isolated network. When the AVR switches to the station - the neutral and phase from the city are cut off.
So I reassembled the distribution board a bit. I power the station from the city to the AVR. That is ALWAYS. If there is no power from the city - the neutral is still available.
Also, the KS 5200 PS instructions state that it needs a grounded neutral. The electricians who did my grounding connected the ground to the neutral bus under the meter. So everything is fine here.
We test - and the boiler works. So the error E317 that Baxi showed did not indicate exactly what was needed. And AI does not always suggest what is necessary.
