I Think I Turned My Childhood Friend Into a Girl has been published in the online magazine Comic Pool by Ichijinsha since December 2019. As of now, the series has been compiled into 11 volumes.
In 2024, the manga ranked fourth in the AnimeJapan survey "Manga We Want To See Animated Ranking".
Seven Seas Entertainment publishes the manga in English and describes it as an LGBT+ romantic comedy about two boys, one of whom is into cosmetics, while the other agrees to become a makeup model. This experiment changes both of their lives.
