The anime “I Became a Legend after My 10 Year-Long Last Stand” has shown a new trailer and revealed the performers of the official songs for the series.

The opening titled “Sore demo Donten o Koete yuku” (“And So I Will Go Beyond the Cloudy Sky”) will be performed by sajou no hana, while the ending “Arikitari na Nichijo to Koun Hibi e” (“Towards Ordinary Daily Life and Fortunate Days”) will be by MEISHOHIKOKAI.

The original light novel began publishing on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website in June 2018, and the printed version with illustrations by DeeCHA is published by SB Creative under the GA Novel label. Currently, 7 volumes have been released in Japan.

The manga adaptation is published by Square Enix: the composition is by Kitsune Tennoji, and the artwork is by Chaco Abeno. The English version is available on the Manga Up! website.

The director of the television anime is Hiroyuki Kanbe, and the series is produced by the studio GEKKOU. The series composition is handled by Mitsutaka Hirota, character design is done by Majiro, and the music is by Tomotaka Osumi.

The broadcast in Japan starts on July 6, and Crunchyroll will stream the title as part of the summer simulcast season of 2026.

Crunchyroll describes the plot as follows: Luke, an S-rank mage in the hero's party, makes one last desperate attempt to stop the Demon King and save his comrades. When he returns victorious, ten years pass, and the world already considers him a legendary hero who died in battle. Unable to return to his former life, he hides his identity and starts anew as “Lok” — an F-rank adventurer trying to build a future in a world that continues on without him.
