It's a little winter outside. Approximately -20 C. It's at this time that my MacBook Air starts to freeze. Sometimes it happens that the laptop does not turn on after a walk down the street in a shoulder bag. This has happened before with my first MacBook Air of 2014 (the case and other things don't help keep it warm). Now the same story with the 2020 MacBook Air.

What are the operating temperatures of the MacBook?
Storage: Recommended storage temperature is -20°C to 45°C.
Operating temperature: Recommended temperature from 10°C to 35°C.
I returned to this question the other day, when the note lay all day in a room with an air temperature of ~ 15C and did not turn on. I never turn it off, just close the lid. The on button was not responded to when pressed. When the charger was connected, the screen turned on for a second and turned off again. The actual temperature of the macbook was technically lower than the air temperature. But how much is unclear.
MacBook Freezing Problem Solution
It's simple - warm it up. ̄\_( ⁇ )_/ ̄
But note that heating should be gradual (stress from rapid heating can harm the laptop). Do not place the device on heating devices, etc. Ideally, it should just be a warm room, warm air, etc.
You can also heat a MacBook with an open cover. This is necessary so that the probable condensate evaporates and does not get into the middle.

I can say from my own experience that you don't need to turn on the music loudly on your laptop immediately after it warms up and turns on. It seems (not sure, maybe just a coincidence) that's why one speaker started to wheeze. Only his replacement helped.
It should also be borne in mind that the laptop will stop turning on in the cold. That is, it will not work to quickly show something on the device somewhere on the road.
