The official website and social media for the anime The World's Strongest Rearguard: Labyrinth Country's Novice Seeker announced the start date for the Japanese television broadcast — July 5 at 22:00 JST. Along with this, a new key visual was revealed, depicting the team receiving support from Arihito.

Among the already confirmed cast are Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Arihito, Aoi Koga as Tereshia, Sakura Nakamura as Kyoka, Yui Ishikawa as Eritia, and Saori Hayami as Suzuna.

The director of the title is Yuji Yanase, known for Apocalypse Bringer Mynoghra. The production is handled by MAHO FILM, with Deco Akao responsible for the series composition and Erika Yanagimoto creating the character designs.

The team also includes Hitoshi Kamata, Eri Koizumi, and Toshihide Masudate as secondary character designers. The art director is Chiho Fukaya, with Kumiko Akahori in charge of color, Tadao Suemitsu as the cinematographer, and Ryosuke Naya as the sound director.

The music for the anime is composed by Hinako Tsubakiyama and Fuwari. The publishing house Yen Press, which publishes the original light novels in English, describes the story as a fantasy about a former office worker, Arihito Atobe, who, after an accidental death in a bus accident, is reborn in a new world and gains the rearguard class — a support hero who assists his mostly female party with attacks, defense, and healing.
