This year's Summer Game Fest Play Days showcased a number of new titles for PS5, allowing journalists not only to watch demos but also to personally play some of them. The selection includes sequels, remakes, and entirely new projects.

Among the most notable releases are Alien: Isolation 2, Control Resonant, Onimusha: Way of the Sword, Resident Evil Veronica, SAW: Genesis, Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2, Crazy Taxi: World Tour, gen Atlas, Silent Hill: Townfall, Sonic Pico Park, and Virtua Fighter Crossroads.

Alien: Isolation 2 currently has no release date, but in the prologue, the game again focuses on survival, hiding, and avoiding the xenomorph, just like the first part. Resident Evil Veronica also remains without a release date; Capcom has confirmed that it will be the third-person action game from the Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 4 remake team, and the events and lore of the Code Veronica story will be adapted to fit the overall framework of the series.

Silent Hill: Townfall will be released on September 24, 2026. In a hands-off presentation, the game focused on first-person perspective, a portable television as a key tool for navigation and enemy detection, as well as slow, tense exploration of a foggy Scottish town.

Control Resonant is scheduled for September 24, 2026. This is a faster and more close-combat-oriented project in the Remedy universe: the main character Dylan Faden uses paranormal abilities, moves a lot around the arena, and combines strikes with the variable weapon Aberrant.

Onimusha: Way of the Sword is set to be released on September 25, 2026. The new demo showcased a more open location near a temple in Kyoto, side paths, material gathering, and challenging encounters where parrying, dodging, and precise timing are crucial.

Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 currently has no release date. The sequel expands the cooperative shooter from three to four players, adds new types of enemies, new types of ammunition, and more flexible character classes.
