In , a previous post about purchased cameras, you can see that several of them had a more fluid battery. I always thought that the alkalin batteries didn't leak, but they didn't. The alkalin battery does not leak during normal use. But over time - it can happen. Do not store your equipment for long periods with batteries inside (of any type) to prevent damage due to their leakage.

I didn't expect to be able to clean the cameras. And what they would work after cleaning, I considered a wild fantasy. But all cameras are up and running.
After watching some YouTube videos and reading the feature posts, I went to the cleaning. All I needed:
Vinegar (neutralizes leakage)
Ear sticks
Napkins (dry and wet)
Toothpicks
Screwdriver
Pliers

Alkaline leakage can irritate the skin, so it is better to work with gloves. Also, do not inhale the vapors during cleaning. Let's get down to business.
By the way, ordinary vinegar is used:

We remove the batteries
First you need to get the batteries from the camera. It can be quite difficult. I used a screwdriver and pliers to do this. Be careful β pulling out the battery, you can accidentally pull out contacts that could stick to it. So if the battery does not give way, and you can climb to its edge (where it stuck), try "soaking" with vinegar.

We remove the leak
Wipe all problem areas with an ear stick soaked in vinegar. Vinegar neutralizes alkaline residues. You will see how these residues, in contact with vinegar, will begin to foam and hiss. Do not inhale vapors and do not allow contact with the skin.
It may take some time. Don't try to break off large pieces with a screwdriver or type of screwdriver. This approach can injure the camera. I dipped in vinegar, rubbed it with a toothpick, wiped it with a napkin and so on in a circle.
I saw many questions on the network - how to clean contacts inside? Everything is simple - the same. But it takes a flashlight to look inside. The cotton swab is long enough for this.

Let's finish
Everything is simple here. Wiped the remaining vinegar with a dry napkin, then wet and dried the battery compartment with a hair dryer (barely warm air). After that inserted batteries and ... nothing.
I changed the batteries for new ones - and the camera went down.
I started cleaning with Fujifilm Nexia 30 Auto. Here is the result (not perfect, but it works):

Cleaning Fujifilm ClearShot seemed like a fun:

As a result of cleaning, all cameras worked. I was lucky that there was no damage inside the cameras and everything was done with amateur cleaning with vinegar. And here's such a mess at the end:
