Early June is the perfect time to buy asparagus and prepare a delicious dish from it. That's exactly what we did, deciding to cook these green juicy sprouts, enhancing their neutral taste with smoked bacon, creamy cheese, a mix of Italian herbs, and a pinch of parmesan. What we ended up with – we will tell and show you next.

We will need:
asparagus – 1 bunch (250 g)
75 g bacon slices
50 g parmesan
50 g creamy cheese
3 tbsp oil (olive, mixed oils)
½ tsp dry mix of Italian herbs

Preparation
Cooking asparagus is quite simple. We did not boil it beforehand, but used it as is. We cut off the white parts of the stems with a knife and rinse the remaining sprouts with water.

We added the mix of Italian herbs to the oil and thoroughly brushed each stem with a silicone brush.

Note that we deliberately did not add salt, as the bacon itself is quite salty, and the creamy cheese will also add some saltiness to the sprouts.
We lay out a few strips of bacon, spread cheese on them, and wrap 5 asparagus sprouts in each.

We preheat the oven to 190 degrees, using the upper and lower heating elements and convection mode. We will bake the asparagus for about 10 minutes.

While the asparagus is baking, we grate the parmesan on a fine grater. We will sprinkle it on the hot stems. It will add even richer flavors to the finished dish. Also, parmesan is another source of saltiness, so at no stage of cooking do we use even a pinch of salt.
We place it on a plate, sprinkle with grated parmesan.
