How many parts (episodes) of Star Wars are there?
To better understand the order of the episodes, one needs to figure out which films exist.There are 9 films. The films are divided into three trilogies:

Why are the Star Wars episodes not in order?
The "Star Wars" saga was not released in chronological order as is usually the case. Initially, episodes IV, V, and VI were released in 1977, 1980, and 1983, respectively. This trilogy is called 'original' and it tells the middle of the story.
It is said that the films started being released from the middle for many reasons, but the main two are:
Technical capabilities were limited, and the script required a lot of graphics and special effects.
Telling the story from the middle adds more intrigue and motivates viewers to watch the prequels and sequels.

Personally, I watched the films in chronological order from I to IX. For people who love a linear plot, this is the perfect option. I can also say that watching the original trilogy was easy because the prequel trilogy provided the necessary information/context about the existing conflict. Starting to watch from the original part would have been a bit difficult for me, and I would probably have used Google to understand some plot nuances.

Наразі я подивися тільки "Соло. Зоряні Війни. Історія". Можна сказати що цей фільм можна дивитись окремо, бо для розуміння не потрібно знати весь контекст Зоряних війн.

Дехто рекомендує включати ці фільми в хронологію історії основної саги. Тобто "Соло. Зоряні Війни. Історія" та "Бунтар Один. Зоряні Війни. Історія" треба дивитись після епізоду III Зоряних війн.
