The Japanese band HANABIE. released a music video for their new song "Inochi Mijikashi Taisuru Otomeyo" on their official YouTube channel — it serves as the opening theme for the summer anime of 2026 Young Ladies Don’t Play Fighting Games.

The track was released digitally on July 8, and the CD single is scheduled for July 29. For HANABIE., this is already their second song recorded for an anime: previously, the band performed the opening theme "Tasty Survivor" for the winter title of 2025 Momentary Lily.

HANABIE. was formed in June 2015 by classmates who met in a high school music club. The lineup includes Yukina (vocals), Matsuri (guitar, vocals), and Hettsu (bass). After their major debut in July 2023, the band began actively performing live around the world.

Young Ladies Don’t Play Fighting Games is an adaptation of the yuri comedy by Eri Ejima. The anime premiered in Japan on July 7, 2026; Crunchyroll is already streaming the first episode for subscribers worldwide, except for Japan and China.
