Manga Darwin's Game by FLIPFLOPs will receive a live-action film. The premiere of the film is scheduled for March 12, 2027.

Along with the announcement, the official film website launched a teaser and showcased five main actors. Starring: Taishi Nakagawa as Kaname Sudo, Kōki as Shuka Karino, Mei Hata as Rein Kashiwagi, Fuju Kamio as Ryuji Maesaka, and Koji Yamamoto as Ichiro Hiiragi.

The director and screenwriter of the film is Fumihiko Sori, who previously worked on the live-action series Fullmetal Alchemist (2017–2022). He noted that he does not hold back his excitement for the project and looks forward to the moment he can show the film to audiences.

According to Sori, viewers will be able to identify with Kaname's struggle, who relies on human strength to confront supernatural enemies one after another. He also added that Darwin's Game is currently in full-scale production.

Darwin's Game was serialized in the magazine Bessatsu Shonen Champion published by Akita Shoten from December 2012 to October 2023. The series consists of 125 chapters and one epilogue, and in Japan, 30 volumes have been released for it.

In January 2024, the total circulation of the manga reached 10 million copies. The title also has a television anime from Nexus studio: 11 episodes aired from January to March 2020.
