Silent Hill: Townfall will be released on PS5 on September 24. Along with the release date, a new trailer was shown during State of Play, featuring a new character and gameplay snippets for the first time.

The project was previously planned for 2026, but now the exact launch and pre-order start have been confirmed. The game will also be the third consecutive installment of Silent Hill to be released in the same season after Silent Hill 2 in 2024 and Silent Hill f in 2025.

The trailer introduced Zoe for the first time — a nurse from the local family clinic who lives on Saint Emilia Island. Her voice was previously heard from CRTV in the debut trailer. She calls Simon to return to the island while simultaneously asking what he is doing there.

For Simon, this is not an easy question: Saint Emilia is unfamiliar to him, and he has never met Zoe before. The developers do not reveal details about the plot and locations but emphasize that the new trailers gradually piece together the overall picture of the game.

The Screen Burn team is focusing on narrative puzzles — they are directly woven into the story and help understand what is happening with Simon. Some of them were shown in the trailer, and they were developed in parallel with the script, not separately from it.

A new creature also appeared in the video, pursuing the hero in the Dark World. To survive, players will need to carefully use CRTV and the peeking mechanic, hide, and move without making noise: if the enemy notices Simon, it could end in a chase.

Additionally, the game will utilize PS5 and DualSense features: adaptive triggers, haptic feedback, and motion controls. Silent Hill: Townfall is already available for pre-order in the PlayStation Store. The standard edition offers bonus cosmetic items for CRTV, while the Deluxe version additionally includes an alternative appearance for Simon, an interactive art book, a digital soundtrack, and 48 hours of early access.
