The Ukrainian anime community has noticeably grown in recent years. Along with it, teams that translated and dubbed Japanese series into Ukrainian have also developed. One of the most well-known among them was Amanogawa — a project that became a symbol of quality Ukrainian fan dubbing for many viewers.

At the end of June 2026, an event unfolded around the community that quickly attracted the attention of fans of Ukrainian anime dubbing. Most of the creative team announced their departure from the project and the creation of a new team — “Dali Bude”.

Amanogawa emerged as a community of enthusiasts who aimed to make Ukrainian anime dubbing more accessible to a wider audience. Over time, the project united voice actors, translators, editors, sound engineers, designers, and other volunteers who worked on creating Ukrainian releases.

Thanks to the regular release of new dubs, the team gradually gained popularity among Ukrainian viewers. Over the years, Amanogawa participated in the dubbing of dozens of anime series, and an active community of supporters formed around the project, who supported it through views and donations.

At the end of June 2026, serious changes within the team became known.

The first to publicly announce this were the participants of the newly created project “Dali Bude.” In their statement, they noted that 17 out of 20 members of the creative team had left Amanogawa.

According to former members, discussions regarding financial transparency, internal management, access to information about the project's activities, and rights to use the Amanogawa brand had been ongoing within the team for several months.

In their statement, they also claimed that after these discussions concluded, most members were deprived of access to the community's official resources. The team also published the list of participants who continued working in the new project. Thus, the authors of the appeal aimed to show that a significant part of the creative team decided to continue working together, but under a new name.

At the time of writing this article, the official side of Amanogawa had not publicly explained the reasons for the conflict.

One of the main questions that arose after the appearance of the new team concerned already announced and unfinished dubs.

At the time of preparing this material, the public position is primarily that of the former members of Amanogawa, who created “Dali Bude.” They were the ones who detailed the reasons for their departure, described the course of internal events, and presented their own view of the situation.

Despite the statement from the majority of former members about their departure, Amanogawa as a project did not cease to exist. Its official information resources remain accessible, and the brand itself continues to exist.

As of today, there are effectively two independent projects, each continuing its activities.

The story of Amanogawa and “Dali Bude” has become one of the most notable events in the Ukrainian fan dubbing community in recent years. It once again highlighted the crucial role that people — voice actors, translators, sound engineers, editors, and other participants — play in such creative projects, thanks to whose work Ukrainian dubs come to life.

What the future holds for both communities remains to be seen. However, one thing is clear: this story has already become an important chapter in the development of Ukrainian anime dubbing and has generated significant interest among its supporters.
