What is Elias?
«Elias» — is a word explanation game where participants have to convey the meaning of a word to their team as quickly as possible without using monosyllabic words, translations or pointing to objects. The more words a team guesses in a limited time —, the more points they will receive.
Name Alias translated from English, means "alias", "other name" — and the essence of the game is precisely to name a word without directly naming it.

How to play Elias: basic rules
Teams: Players are divided into 2 or more teams.
Purpose: In a limited time, explain as many words as possible from the cards to your team.
Explanation: you can't:
use cognate words (for example, the word "picture" cannot be explained as "paint"),
point to objects or use sign language,
translate the word into another language.
Game progress:
One of the participants pulls out the card and begins to explain the word.
The command tries to guess — as soon as the word is guessed, the following is taken.
Each round lasts approximately 1 minute (the set usually includes an hourglass).
Points:
For each correctly guessed word — 1 point.
For breaking the rules — minus a point or missing a word (depending on the game option).
Victory: the team that first scores the required number of points or passes the playing field wins (in some versions, the game has a field with chips).
