PlayStation Plus in July offers a selection of three very different titles: the blockbuster Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, the fantasy For the King II, and the retro-inspired 2D RPG CrossCode. All of them will be available to PlayStation Plus subscribers from Tuesday, July 7, to Monday, August 3.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III
The Cross-Gen Bundle version will be released on PS5 and PS4. The game features a new campaign, updated versions of classic multiplayer maps, and an open PvE mode called Zombies, where players complete missions against AI-controlled enemies.
The story continues from Modern Warfare II: Captain Price and Task Force 141 face off against the ultranationalist and war criminal Vladimir Makarov. In multiplayer, 16 maps from the 2009 release of Modern Warfare 2 return — now with updated graphics, new modes, and other gameplay changes.
For the King II and CrossCode
For the King II will also be released on PS5 and PS4. In the story, Queen Rosamund has turned against her subjects, and players are offered the choice to either gather a team for cooperative play with four players or embark on a journey with Fahruhl alone. This is a continuation of the RPG that combines roguelite and tabletop mechanics.
CrossCode is a retro-style 2D action RPG for PS5 and PS4. The game combines 16-bit graphics, fast-paced combat, puzzles, and a sci-fi story. It focuses on gameplay: exploring dungeons, battling using enemy weaknesses, and collecting gear and skills.
