After installing and running the Counter-Strike:GO game, the Ubuntu interface flows over the Counter-Strike window and somehow it is not very convenient to change any settings inside the game. So you need to exit the game and set up Counter-Strike startup mode from the Steam menu.

Run Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) game full screen in Ubuntu by following the following steps:
1. Open your Steam library.
2. Find the game "Counter-Strike: Global Offensive" in the list of games.
3. Right-click on the game name and select "Properties..." or "Properties...".
4. In the properties window, go to "GENERAL" or "General".
5. Find the field "Set launch options..." or "Start options...".
6. Enter the o-fullscreen` there and click OK.

After that, when you start the game, it should open to the full screen. If this does not work, the reason may lie in the specific settings of the game or system.

Adding the '-fullscreen' setting worked in my case. The next launch of the game was for the full screen.
