Will the powerful hair dryer from EcoFlow River 2 Pro (European version) work? I couldn't find an answer to this quite simple question online. So I got this EcoFlow and need to figure out if I can wash my hair during a blackout and have the ability to dry my hair before going outside.
Фен Philips 1930-2300W (220-240V)
This Philips hair dryer has a power of 1930-2300W and operates on a network of 220-240V. The power is significantly higher than what EcoFlow River 2 Pro provides (800W and X-Boost 1600W). I thought that the charging station would work on X-Boost (1600W) for some time, or not work at all. EcoFlow outputs 800-810W, and the hair dryer works, but not at full power.
The hair dryer has several air heating modes, and a separate button for more powerful fan operation. By default, the additional power for the fan is turned off.
Standard air flow + first heating level = 200W
Standard air flow + second heating level = 300W
Standard air flow + third heating level = 600W

Turning on the maximum fan power raises consumption to a maximum of 800W. X-Boost does not turn on. The hair dryer works, but you can hear that its power is limited. But it works.
I checked in the EcoFlow app if X-Boost was turned on, and it turned out to be off. I turned it on, but nothing changed. I turned EcoFlow off/on - nothing changed. The hair dryer works and the station provides it with 800W.

This review is as non-technical as possible, and to summarize:
X-Boost for some reason did not work on the hair dryer, the hair dryer operates at a maximum of 800W, which is provided by EcoFlow River 2 Pro. A full battery charge should theoretically last almost an hour (battery capacity 768 Wh). The display calculates and shows the approximate battery discharge time a bit slowly (and it's better not to rely on it at all).
The hair dryer can be used. The power of the hair dryer will be limited, but it will be able to perform its function (at the level of a budget hair dryer from hotel rooms).
I will try to play around with the X-Boost settings in the future. I will add additional information to the thread of this publication.
