It's June outside and quite hot in the house. There is currently no air conditioning. In the WHIRLPOOL W7X 82I OX refrigerator, the upper compartment is not cooling. The products have started to spoil. The refrigerator is less than a year old. We are looking for the cause and if something is broken - we will call a technician.
We start the search for causes with the refrigerator manual. I threw away the paper manual, so I downloaded it from the internet (online stores like Rozetka or Foxtrot usually add the manual to the product card). In the manual, we read the section 'Troubleshooting'. In my case, the manual for the WHIRLPOOL W7X 82I OX refrigerator had some general things that this model does not have. Like - "Clean the drainage hole in the vegetable compartment." But this model doesn't even have a drainage hole. However, the manual helps to understand that cold air comes into the upper compartment from the lower one. Theoretically, the openings can be blocked by food or clogged with ice.
Visually inspecting these openings - I saw snow/ice. The grille is screwed on with 5 bolts, so I unscrewed them to see if the openings for the cold air supply to the other compartment were indeed blocked. And yes - they were blocked. Do not try to remove this ice with a knife or something - there is a risk of damaging various tubes hidden under this snow.

So we simply defrost the refrigerator. It's also a good time to clean it ^_^
But what is the cause of this problem that the NoFrost has frozen? I'm not a technician, but judging by the information from the internet - high temperatures in the room and insufficient ventilation around the refrigerator can cause ice buildup in the NoFrost system. Of course, the problem could also be with various sensors that are responsible for the proper functioning of the system, or a clogged drainage.
After defrosting and cleaning the refrigerator - I removed dust from behind the refrigerator and positioned it so that air could circulate around it (before, one side was stuffed with cardboard storage items, but this hindered air circulation). Do not neglect the rules for using the refrigerator - leave technical space for air.
By the way, the refrigerator does not have a water drainage tray (water collection) - the drainage hose drains water into an open container near the compressor, from which the water evaporates into the air. An interesting solution.
We plug the refrigerator into the power supply. We wait 4-6 hours before loading it with products. That's all for now. If the refrigerator freezes the openings again in a short time - we will call a technician and look for the cause. But for now, everything seems to be working and the reason was high temperature and lack of air circulation around the refrigerator.

Even if the cause is something else - defrosting won't hurt, it will only make the technician's job easier. And cleaning the refrigerator and throwing away old products won't hurt either :D
