This time, our culinary periscope has captured lard. And we couldn't resist buying it and experimenting with it. After purchasing a kilogram of this traditional, perhaps even essential product for Ukrainian cuisine, we decided to render half into cracklings and the other half to make a spread for bread.
We will need:
500 g of lard without skin
1 head of garlic
salt
black pepper
paprika

Preparation
Using a meat grinder with a fine sieve, we grind the lard together with the garlic.

We add spices to the mixture (there should be the most salt, which acts as a preservative), and mix thoroughly.

That's it, our snack is ready to eat!

This snack pairs very well with black bread and green onions. Such a sandwich will be a great addition to hearty red borscht.

Enjoy! ;)
